Writing Journal #4
- How does the notion of writing collaboratively challenge your sense of what a writer is and does? A.Writing Collaboratively is writing a piece with two or more writes .It's sharing your view points and then assembling them for the final draft.Every writer has a different style of writing and while collaborating one has to bend his /her rules and work accordingly.According to some collaboration brings the best of the writers.
- Do you find collaborating on your writing exciting or intimidating? Why? A.I personally find collaboration on writing very exciting because as a writer I am still learning the nuances of writing and I could learn so much from a fellow writer. We can learn from each other and it will surely bring the best out from both of us.Importantly one has to access the task ,delegate responsibility and determine the time frame(Deadline) during collaboration and that could be the tricky part.
- What do you think you might learn or gain from collaborating with other writers? A.I think one can learn a lot from a fellow writer especially the writing style, a way of playing around with words .Writers can always find loads of common things between fellow writer just like musicians who find the same cord.
- One of the bullets under the WPA Outcomes “Process” heading reads, “By the end of first -year composition, students should...Experience the collaborative and social aspects of writing processes.” Why do you think the WPA Outcomes value the “collaborative and social aspects of the writing process?” What does this say about academic writing and collaboration? A.Academic writing is literally incomplete with collaboration.Every aspect of life requires collaboration whether in school it's for project or some other reason or you are in collage and have group project. It's even present in professional life when you have to collaborate with editor, reviewer or researcher. One can't hide away from collaboration ,only can achieve productivity from the group work.
